Dear Trent University,
It seems like only yesterday when we got together, but, with so many years gone by now, our romance only grows stronger. I have been singing your praises on 92.7 FM all this time and… well, perhaps I’ve broadcast some of our spats as well. I am a gossip.
All things considered, we have always been there for each other. The students who grace your tender halls come to me to do things both silly and creative. They balance their work with play.
Well, okay, that’s not entirely true. Sometimes students come to Trent Radio and essentially read out their homework, like various societies that have programmes. And some classes you offer are more like play, perhaps, than work – but a credit’s a credit, eh, you old softy?
You are a sly old scholar, Trent University. I’ve been with you through the protests of both praise and upset, through new building projects, like Gzowski, and through sad partings, like the tearing down of the poor Hangman. You have a rich history now and we’ve broadcast it all.
For every twist, every turn, there has been some student or another here with me to broadcast all there is to say about Trent University: Canada’s outstanding small university. Simply put: I love you, Trent. Always have, and I think I know you a little more than just in-part.
So, remember that whatever is to come in the future, someone who loves you is looking out for you, celebrating every one of your victories and nagging at you criticisms that only loving family can.
Sincerely,
Trent Radio, 92.7 fm, CFFF in Peterborough
